I am using Photoshop CS5. I want to save everything within a .psd file as an image with Save for Web & Devices. When I click Save instead of saving a single image it saves a whole folder with all the images separately. Why is it happening? This particular psd project is not done by me and I am thinking that some option somewhere may be set up so that it's doing this. When I start a new project it saves pictures normally. How can I stop this?
Why are you using "Save for Web & Devices"? If you're just trying to save as a .jpg or .png then just go to Save As. My guess as to why it's creating the folder is that normally on a web site, the images are contained in a single folder for ease of access, and it's just helping you out so that you can simply upload the folder to your server instead of one image at a time. But if there is another reason you're specifically using Web and Devices, reply and I'll see what else I can come up with!
The guy must have sliced the PSD. That is the reason when you try to save the image you get many images instead of 1 Try to delete all the slices or HIT ME A PM
This is correct. The image has been sliced so it's exporting the pieces separately. To correct this behavior, either delete all the slices or create one large slice selection over the whole canvas.
