Should I Put URL in the ancor text

What is the good practice to use as an anchor text when submitting to articles directories. Is url good for that? Or should i rather use keywords as an anchor text?

 

Definitely use KW's as anchor text! Using just the URL is kind of pointless. Sure, it will count as a link and people will be able to find your site. But using achor text will have a bigger impact on improving your search engine rankings.
