Why my backlinks are not indexed? Please help

    Hi all,

I created new backlinks for my new blog. But I found my backlinks are not indexed in search engines. Not indexed even in Google. I don't know the reason about this. I used the following query to find my backlinks:

    link:www.digitalbunch.com

Please let me know your ideas.

    Thanks!

Time is important here.. When did you create your backlinks and how many?

Time is definitely a factor. But also keep in mind, Google doesn't ever show ALL the backlinks to a site when you use the "link:" function. It is well known that Google only shows a small percentage of backlinks. Not sure why, but you could try using Yahoo with the same function, and you should see a larger list of links.

One month ago.. surely there is someting wrong. Are these backlinks from blog commenting?? If so, high spammed articles that are full of comments don't usually get indexed.

link: is pretty bad at showing the links pointing at a domain, Google has even said this themselves. It is inefficient to have data about every site on one server so when you use link: you are pulling data that is from that data center only. Yahoo site explorer is probably a better choice.

Hmm... May be. Yes, its from blog commenting. Blacklinks from full of comments pages have no value?

It's going to take longer than a month for your links to show up...

Just keep building new links and don't worry about whether or not they're being shown by Google!

Google will not show all the backlinks with the link: command. Its better to use Google Webmaster Tools and Yahoo! Site Explorer to see your actual BLs for the website.

Thanks for your suggestions. As I told earlier, my links are not shown up in Yahoo search explorer.

I think you're right! As some guys already told before, link: query is not so effective. But I think its like a post, why it takes more than 1 month?

Oh! Can you give me URL of that yahoo explorer page where you have searched digitalbunch? Results may be different?

Edit: I getting "error 999". What is that

Just use Yahoo SiteExplorer. I can see 39 links now. Remember, lots might be denied or considered spam but webmasters (idiots). I handpicked some high PR (even though I know that G doesn't bother with PR) and genuinely tried to integrate in the forum. But no backlink. Strange. I find it easier to spam the hell out of things with SB
