Why do we need followers on twitter?

Some are really eager to have a lot of followers in twitter, I am just wondering why?

 

We have need to increase to our website traffic.

the more followers you have, the more people that see your tweets, which means more traffic for your blog or website.

 

We need them to read what we have twett, as simple as that

Oh that Is funny, And I think your some what right........It will bring you more trafic to your site, But will It be good trafic I don't know, some good, And some bad.
