1)i appreciate the changes...it's normal...befor this changes filemenager is ridicolous...
now have a good speed...but not much options...(we cant delete folder, then we cant organize , for me ther is the problem with the link for website...i prefer the normal link for website same the other host etc..etc...)

    2) i use a 32" monitor ;)

    3) ftp speed...
it's normal we can get more connection, but not if we must upload only 1 file of 700mb for ecample...
i try with my line at home (100mbit) with a 1 gbit in france with a 2xgbit in holland...
i take only 6-700 kbs every connection...
    i can take 100 connection but approximately 10...for a total of 3MB

i try filesonic and take 30MB
i try hot file and take 20-30MB
i try ducload too lol and i take 100mbit in a single connection (i not try more connection)

this is the my experience...from italy from france from holland

    4) fileserve.com
really i open the various page in 20-30 sec...sometimes in 1 min and other time +
i use this with a real 6mbit (if you know fastweb)

    5) payout for little file...

if u dont know how much would pay for...
see the other host...they pay 2x vs fileserve

    6) dmca file are other story...

    then...
u must understand that i'm here...i'm talking about fileserve...
not becouse i'm happy to be negative...
but only for say what is the problem (for me)
i had hope for some change in the last week...the big change in filemanager...but i see only a better speed in filemanager...and file listed for date...nothing more and it'snt too much

i'm here becouse i know fileserve is good

i talking for help fileserve to fix some bug or change for better...

    but...
i see some user that talk about some problem and u that say...
it's your line that is not good...
we are better then the other...
    we are 100 in alexa
    filemanager is good
stat not work but it is not a problem
file don't show download ...but it is not a problem

i hope to see you that say...
we have problem and wi fixing it

i think a company must try to grow up and give a better service...becouse if 1 user today think to change host...tomorrow can be 10...2 day 100

internet is that...speed for go up...but speed for go down...
there isn't only fileserve and the other sucks...

    there is some host...
someone have somethings good and something no good...

i hope you understand my "idiot" english...and understand that i like fileserve...and i talk for this

@ happy: I don't think you understand the fundamental setup of Fileserve and therefore will not be able to comprehend how it all works together. I'm not going to expose how our system is fitted either.

    1. And after we upgraded our file manager I haven't heard a flying whine of it being slow. Sorted. Done. Period. It is as it is and there will not be any sort of wishful thinking of "hey I want this, I want that" - We do what is necessary in order to uphold the loading time of the File Manager to a standard. Currently it is quick.

    2. FTP speed: You seem to not grasp that we have set a cap on the FTP servers. It is probably true that others receive much quicker and yidi-yada for each single file. Funny, that for some of the other hosts, the files never appear in their file manager, the connections break etc. However, in this case you're sacrificing some speed PER file vs. the availability of the file in your account. I do know what the vast majority will choose, and they won't agree to your humble opinion.

    As stated..If you send 20 files at 500 KB/sec you get 10,000 KB/sec
If you try to send 20 files to HF, they will cap you at 5,000 KB/sec MAX for all total connections.
This means if you try to upload 30 files to FS, you will get 15,000 KB/sec, while at HF you will still be stuck at 5,000 KB/sec.

Now I've explained it before that we have solutions for the FTP to be improved, but at the moment it will not. If you are willing to push a few millions into our pockets, so FS can hire a bunch of experienced and very expensive programmers (and hopefully give me a raise too) like Facebook to do the whole wishlist, you're welcome to. If not, sit down and wait like the rest of us (including me)

    3. Check your DNS. I stated previously my 3 Mbit line opens FS just fast and quick enough. No matter if I'm checking a user with 10,000 files or 10 files.

    4. Ok, so what's the benefit to us that we raise the payout for smaller files? Let me know. It works in a harmonious cycle. If it doesn't benefit us, why should it benefit you? If it benefits you more, I guess we would have to screw you over somehow, e.g. raising the wait time to 30 minutes for the smaller files. Don't want that, do we? :)

If you have so much experience in programming...You would know it takes the time it takes to fix things. Especially when you're driving a Ford Focus with Lamborghini technology at your hands. I assume this wouldn't be the case.

i undestand that fix or improve it's very difficulty when there is million of user and "uploader"

    other host has other problem...

    for ftp speed...
i try other system and go better...
iy's not true that connection lose of other issue...i upload much file without problem...
fileserve sometimes have problem too...like file that pending...same filemanager that create different directory with the same name..etc..etc..
remember that i not say other host are perfect...and obviosly fileserve too...
(it's not simply to get 20 connection...i think is better take good speed with 2-3 connection...some software do a max of 10)

i'm not a genius...and i dont know where is the right line...i only see other host pay 2x for small file...
small file take the service complete
    take advertise
    etc..etc..
    sure not much premier...but i don't know :)

but i think it's important now to fix the stats...and the stats of every file... ;)

@ all: If you haven't noticed you can now SEARCH + Move/Copy. Enjoy.

@ Happyhappy: The stats for your files are there. You just need to wait for it. We could close down the site for a whole day, so it can catch up to the current time, but that wouldn't benefit you, nor us. Wait till the techs have figured a way to catch up with it.

@ phate89: Well we could also just delete all the "raw" data from one of the previous days (it means it will close the gap between the "lag" of ~40 hours) and call it quits and then it will be up to speed. One thing I don't know what will happen is:
    1. Potentially loss in earnings (extreme cries)
    2. Don't know if everyone would agree on that one (less cries).

So on one hand you will have people with lost income (potentially), but on the bright side, your file manager count will be up to date :) Decision, decision, right?

@ djkelaj: It's not the same design and certainly not the same speed. What do you see? Let me know.

But you'll soon close the gap? because if the delays are regular your system isn't projected so well in that way..

Well techs are working on how to close the gap. Don't know if they will be able to unless the above options are going to be set in action. Otherwise, you just have to live with a 24 hours lag.

In fact...We may just pull all the numbers from the file manager count - Sounds better? :)

    So your options:
    1. Potential loss of earnings
    2. 24 hour lag until it is fixed sometime down the line. Don't know when.
    3. No file manager count displayed

    Pick an option :)

We didn't change anything. It is your Internet :)

    There's not an option like:
24 hour lag until it is fixed sometime down the line. Don't know when. But indeed we will improve our sistem so this will not happen for a long time?

i vote for loss earnings and have a normal "live" stats !!!!

i think if some people (like me and casolari) have problem on fileserver.com (speed) it's not a problem with our connection...but it's of fileserve...
i think it depends on locations....dns probabily too...
but we have problem only with fileserve :D

@happyhappy we aren't the only, many other complains about it
the problem is only with fileserve... many other file hosting have server all around the world but only fileserve has this speed problem

if they check the website speed from the same net they will never admit the problem

download speed from fileserve links is good, but browsing website is very slow (except now)

Buddy..Im checking the website speed from Hong Kong. That's across the world. The furthest away you can be from FS' servers (unless you go south towards Australia). I load it fine, so it has nothing to do with "admitting" when trying from our own servers. I don't have access to them fyi, so I go by with what I try from "home" lines.

I can tell you that my friend down in London right now is loading it just fine, so yes...It has something to do with your line.

It is just a 24 hour period that we cannot catch up to without doing what needs to be done. Of course we're working on improving our system, but you guys think that re-writing code and doing whatever techs do is a 9-5 job. Easier said than done. That's the problem. I can also be putting something on my wishlist: A bag of money falling from the sky landing in front of my feet. Not sure if I can get that fulfilled, but if I wait long enough it may just happen.

ok, but if it's a line problem why I can download from your server at high speed? while surfing your website it takes some seconds to load pages... except today...
perhaps for lag from my location. I'm from italy
