I am just baffled at why im earning so less. someone once told me that its because the clicks i get are from other countries to the one I live therefore the earnings are low. That's interesting. Is the site marketed towards a specific country? I'd need to see the site but this may have something to do it. Different countries have different extensions on their domains. For example I am in the United States and if I was looking at a website that had information about guitars and I saw an interesting ad for a place that sold guitars but it had a .uk extension at the end I might not bother clicking it because I prefer to buy a large item like that locally so I don't have to pay a lot of money for shipping and it would be easier to return if something was wrong with it. I'm not sure if this helps or not because I never really looked into getting ads for other countries than the one I'm in but maybe you can change a setting in adsense to have ads come from the countries of the people that look at your site.
The site really isnt targeted at a specific country but assumed from where the traffic comes from. I'll send web link by PM
this is exactly what I meant. You click "download now" link and get to another page, that has huge download image button which happens to be google ad, and you actually supposed to click much smaller button to actually start download. if in a hurry, my CTR would be probably 50% (chance to click ad instead of download button)
Google automatically serves ads to the country of the visitor, you don't need to do anything. Personally I think your earnings is fine, mine is much lower. Always has been, always will be. Just the nature of the niche. But its money for stuff I put online several years ago now so can't really complain.
I think average of $0.20 per click and 1% of CTR is not a very bad performance. I suggest you work on your traffic instead.
I would ask yourself your question slightly differently: "How much value am I adding for my visitors?" Work on creating more value for visitors then your site ranking, traffic and $ will increase If you simply have a 'me too' site with content that is available anywhere - do you deserve to earn more? Also make sure your Adsense ads blend in with your page - both colors and by removing the border.
