I was wondering which are the best ways to monetize a site if you are under 18, i was guessing selling the ad spaces by yourself would be the best option.

But i would like to know your opinions.

    Thanks.

Well, thats an option, but when i turn 18 in less than 6 months, i would need to change the names and such, is that possible...?

Currently my paypal account is on my moms name, and i know i can change it later on.

    Thanks.

Well as mentioned, you can ask your parents - however they will then take on a certain amount of responsibility for your actions (ie: click fraud or illegally obtaining $$ from people etc would be punishable to them).

A second option I have used in the past when providing a service is to build a respectful community and have an amazon wishlist on your page, in the sidebar or something. On this wishlist you can either have items you genuinely want, or items you think are profitable to sell on as new, unopened etc.. So they can buy something off your wishlist, it gets sent to you, and you either keep it or sell it for $$$ to your friends. Or of course, you can then use your parents ebay account to sell it.

EDIT: Just saw your post, in that case - concentrate on improvement for 6 months. Dont even think about profit margins, just work on your websites non-stop until they are AMAZING. Then reap the profits in 6 months. Websites which appear unmonetised whilst providing a great service often gain loyal users faster.

Also, you can earn money on your paypal then pay it to your account when you're 18 and change the name on your account.

Thanks a lot for the detailed post, yeah i was exactly thinking about using some of the money i gain with freelancing to create a website, and work on it for 6 months, then monetize it, just need to find a suitable one to buy, or just buil one myself :).

    Again, thanks.

I do suggest that you continue building your website. It is better to start from scratch and choose your niche carefully. Do not think of monetising this early but make your website professional.

I have gone through the problem with unprofessional websites that cannot sell. People usually do not trust sites that are not setup well or look good. take time to build it well and you can reap from it. :)

After that, you can use adsense or amazon affiliate. However, i do suggest clickbank.
