How much good designer costs

I have looked at selling templates, for example template for $100 - and as I see, it's very quality, so requires much time to draw it, I think near a week. So, a question is raising - how much web-designer costs. How much logo and site design costs? Is it much $200-300 for logotype? and $500 for design?

Templates mey look hi-quality but these are not UNIQUE, if you want to buy a UNIQUE template then it will cost round about $3500! at templatemosnter...

in that case if you are looking for a unique design a Web Designer will cost you less....

a good design of 5 Pages site can cost $255 Only....

 

No, I am telling about designing from scratch. For example I have good designers in my mind, they are working with me.
They are asking for design from $300, but I don't know, how to promote their services - because there are many offers less then $100.
And, what is badly - people don't understand what is the difference.

I have tried a few freelance websites, like getafreelancer.com and elance.com, but didn't get the quality I was looking for.

i am a designer too.... i am not claiming i am TOP designer... but i work on RentACoder and i know one designer there... a really good one... She is a Female...

You need to understand that really cool and QUALITY design development will take near 1-2 months to draw. And price could be up to 10K
But it's not for freelance designers

people pay's more for coding then designing... i dont know why...

if you check you will find then there are more Coders, programmers out there but Designers are less...

Coz designing is all about creativity.... its not easy to satisfy your clients with design,,,

they could ask for 2-5k system development, and don't want to pay $300-500 for design - they say better buy and modify on template monster for $50. I don't think it's right. Project is developing from scratch need also design been developed in one time, with high contact with prorgammer or team leader.

If not More, then Minimally Designer should be paid equally as program er!
