I was just checking out seocompany.ca's website, came across http://www.seocompany.ca/directory/web-directory-submission-service.html?packages=3,4,9,12#sales he charges $75 for inclusion into dmoz? think it is guaranteed? anyone used this before?
No guarantee, but im thinking if they are hand submitted by quality directory editors, every more chance of getting ...
Agreed, he does not promise that you will be included, but only that he will submit your site to dmoz.
Say, he was able to add a link to DMOZ as a moderator. When DMOZ catches him, will it remove all the links added by him? webgaya.
And this is why it is important to read everything and not just parts.... It does state he ia a qualified directory editor but not what directory. I am qualified at JoeAnt, GoGuides but not DMOZ Good post! PS I am submitting to DMOZ for only $69.99 limited time offer!
What does "qualified" mean? Who does the qualifying? I've encountered Bob in a couple of directories. He's pretty good at doing submittals according to the "rules of the house".
From what I understand that's his fee for the manual submission, not for a guaranteed listing. For example he charges the same price to submit your site to Yahoo (+ the submission fee) business.com etc
exactly how i read it as well. no guarantee, just a submission. i can't see how it could be misinterpreted either. it doesn't say anything about inclusion. just a submission.
It's simply being able to follow the rules, something a lot of people can't do I guess. Seems a pretty high price to charge though.
this topic title is almost like ..... " My Mom Discovered Bread " ..... which should have been , " My Mom made bread for me yesterday "
In the time it would take you to write a check or post a payment to have someone submit your site to DMOZ, you could write your own submittal ... it isn't rocket science There is no trick to submitting a site to DMOZ. You must be able to follow basic written instructions, and you have to resist the desire to stick 300 keywords into your title & description. Many people go astray because they write their submittals for the search engines instead of following the simple directions. As an editor myself, I believe that if the submitter can't take the time to read the instructions, then I don't need to waste my time to rewrite the submittal. I spend my time on submittals that look like the person gave it some honest effort. It's easier to go looking for sites to submit and write them up myself, rather than rewrite the junk people toss together as a submittal. But if you can read and follow simple instructions, why pay someone else to do the submittals to DMOZ or any other directory or search engine? Especially since the person you're paying can't guarantee inclusion ... However, if you really really WANT to pay someone, I always need money
Lol well i tried submitting a website in the past, never got accepted, requested to be a editor in the category and never got accepted, so thought it might be worth it for this website, although i tried submitting one yesterday myself, still no news yet and give me a price :d
