How often do you change your mobile phone handset?

If you bought a mobile handset this Jan 2011, how long would you use it? After how many months or years do you have a plan to get a new handset?

I don't like changing phones frequently. I buy such mobiles which will have all the features equipped and can be used in future too.
I keep one mobile for atleast 2 years. :) I was using Nokia 6600 from 2005 to mid 2009 and from then using N95 8GB.
And planning to buy Iphone later this year.

I keep my handsets active until it dies out :)
    Right now I'm using a Sony Ericsson K508i, Nokia 5300 XpressMusic and a Nokia N95 :)

I got my first mobile/cell phone in 1995. I'm only on my fourth phone now :D
.. So approx every 4 years. I only buy a new phone when it becomes cheaper than buying a new battery.

Its depend on usage and requirements, for eg: Lots of peoples purchase a Android phone for checking android functions,etc..

If I will buy mobile in 2011 then I will try to buy new mobile after 4 years(at lest 4 - 5 yrs.)

While my first cell phone lasted for four years, the second one bid farewell in 3 years. The third one became less smarter in another 6 months and now I am with my fourth cell phone which is 6 months old. Looking for another feature rich phone and soon will get one.

I change my phone every 2 years (because of the discount)
I found that if you call the place (I use verizon) you will almost always get a better deal than buying online, because they can always give 'special' deals or promotions that you may not know about
