Hey guys, im having real trouble getting my wordpress site indexed by search engines, this is the only site ive ever had trouble with getting indexed and granted its the first time ive used word press.

    http://www.vegankingdom.co.uk

I thought word press was meant to be decent for search engines. Am i doing something wrong in the settings?

Any help is appreciated as always

your site looks ok, just don't use underline text when it's not a link, confusing

thats a good point, i will style them differently. I have no idea why its not indexing any of the pages, especially as the content is all unique etc its been up for a while also.

    I found the problem this was in the header - <meta name='robots' content='noindex,nofollow' />

I believe ive got rid of it now i hope.

Hey powerlifer...you mean your blog was never indexed by google? if so, then it is not a wonder because you do not have much content and suppose you do not have also backlinks. I also observed that your site is new (like 19/12/2010),,,also mine is from same period. The first time google indexed me in about 48 hour and ranked me (0/10) in about 10-12 days but i had to promote the website and its content to be honest.
I looked in your source code but did not see robot meta, but do not think it is a problem,,not even if you do not have description and key metatags

Did you get it indexed already? Building a few links and adding content always helps!

Try adding the plugin "XML Sitemap Generator for WordPress" Every time you make a change on your blog, it sends a new sitemap to Google.

The no follow meta bit was there i had to change it in the privacy settings in wordpress, thankfully its gone now and hopefully it will be indexed soon like all my other sites. The site is fairly new like you say so more content is being created daily.

Thanks for all the other comments going to do the sitemap and the usual directory and other SEO bits very soon:)

Good suggestion guys... mine would be
Atleast 3 blog post(unique) every month is sufficient to get good PR in 6 months, best of luck.
After removing nofollow, hope it will be crawled soon.

It's funny how some people don't read previous posts, and just say random stuff. He found the issue:

That's by definition: Please don't index my website.

    Good luck.
