I'd advise you to get something with her name on it (ex. dog tags, mugs with her photo on it, a teddy bear with her name, a t-shirt), girls loved personalized gifts (only if you are serious about her) if you are not you may be creating trouble for your future wife by gifting a personalized gift. It worked very well with my girl friend who is my soulmate now

What's to be embarrassed about it? Being open and honest to your girlfriend/wife is more important than having "virginity" issues. Being a virgin and giving it to someone doesn't make you less human. Buying something for a girlfriend can be tricky - best avoid things like clothing (it's a mine field!) Classics like chocolate or jewellery go down well or you could do a romantic gesture by cooking for her or something...?
Awesome sweet idea! But maybe you can find more willing volunteers on forums that doesn't discuss much about marketing. Something like a relationship/love forum.
