I'm thinking to try comparative shopping engines to market my products. Anybody have experience with it such as ROI, or suggestion on how much would I need to spend to get results. I sell high cost products ($300+)
Please share your experience, knowledge and suggestions.
    Thanks

Not a bad idea to test it, but let me ask - are your products equal to or less (in cost) than those you'll be competing against on the comparative sites? If not, ROI will suffer...

Most of the products I sell are equal price to competition. I buy it directly from manufacturer and sell at minimum advertised price set by manufacturer.

dun always use price as a optional. You may give extra service or add on anything which competitior could not make it. ROI maybe lower but it effective in long run.

It's probably worth giving the shopping engines a shot then. Maybe people buy (almost) solely on price so if you're site's professional-looking and you have good contact information and return policies, you should do well.

Consumers who use Shopping Engines to browse are more likely to be purely motivated by price. However your site needs to be professional looking and as gotlivechat says you need good contact information and return policy. The more details you can give the potential customers about how the order will be processed for example, payment methods, postage methods, dispatch times, return policies the better.

Also agree with Fresh Hosting. It's possible that you can gain sales by providing a better value, but realistically, they comparison shopping is based solely on price. If you can't compete on price, these are probably not the best medium to invest your advertising into.
