I am using Hubpages. They are the best source for traffics over backlinks if you have established account enough. Most articles that written / published on Hubpages will be considered as a content from experts in specific niche by both member (writer) there and reader. You can use hubpages to gain trust toward your brand and personal image as well. However "dofollow" links from hubpage is excellent as well but not easy to acquire it. You need your overall account point over 75 to get that. The points is counting from voted by members there based on your published contents. It is very hard to manipulate points and ranking there. Otherwise all links you placed in your articles will be only nofollow links.

Just curiosity, I never use hubpages due to the fact that I need to gain 75 point in order to have do follow link. However, do you know how many vote from other members in order to gain 75 points? Is it easily achievable?
Hub pages work very well for backlinks or traffic to your site. Hub page sites will rank well, if you use low competition keywords, and write the article properly. Have the keyword phrase in the title, and three of four times in the article. Do a search for a few low competition keywords in google, and you will probably find someones hub page ranking in the first three pages.
It is quite easy to get 75 points. These points are on your profile not individual hubs. Just keep writing quality and you will get there.
people mainly use Hubpages to earn money through revenue sharing but basically it is like a platform to write what you feel....
My firm and real opinion is that hub pages- it is the promotion of site of hug pages. They only want to extract good text and articles from writer without offering anything in return to writers.
Hubpages is an easy way to get started making a little cash online, granted not a lot fast but if you just need to make a dollar to prove that it can be done, this is the way. find a low competition niche on Amazon, write a solid 500 word review, add 2 images, 1 video from you tube, and two links with your amazon affilaite code. You can also use the Amazon capsules but you are splitting clicks 60/40 with hubpages. What i did was set up different tracking ids for the hub capsules in the in context links, this way I know where the clicks are coming from. I have not been using this strategy long and only have about 25 hubs going but have made a few sales in amazon and a few clicks on adsense. It is all about scale at this point. Oh and yes, do use them to create back links to your money site, then you have to ways to make money, they go to your site from the links or click on an amazon capsule or adsense ad. This does not even take into account the backlink juice!
