Yeah whatever, but I think that there are a lot of Indian-owned and run web sites / web masters that are targeting the US (or North American or English speaking) market. YPN would be wise to open up to them. Eric http://www.ericfrost.com
SkiRat44, YSM is for advertisers, Iam aware of that , What i was talking is about YPN http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=119560 Yahoo has invested in bharatmatrimony.com . Bharatmatrimony.com owns clickjobs.com,indialist.com, indiaproperty.com and many more portals. Clickjobs.com, naukri.com, monsterindia.com Powers yahoo jobs search. That does not mean that yahoo jobs is powered by indian job sites, What i think is yahoo is testing the indian market for jobs, Because its a high income generating segment in india and there are only 2 major players (naukri.com and monsterindia.com), Bharatmatrimony.com Is the only successful marriage portal in india which launched clickjobs.com, which hopes to be a competitor for naukri.com and monster india. What i think is, Yahoo is going to Launch its own Version of Hotjobs India , Before that they are testing their jobs page with their feeds.,
i dont get what certain group people start getting extra defensive when it comes to indian or anti-indian stuff get it in the head ... neither way any of the webmasters here will be affected if Yahoo starts allowing india or any non us countries in YPN , will it ? as a publisher , if u have a large site with visitors , what makes you think that you will be able to generate more income than you are currently with Adsense .... you surely wont be able to use both Adsense and YPN at the same page , will you ? And as a advertiser , if YPN does go international ( i.e Non US ) , if you dont want your ads on non-us sites , i am sure there will be options for geotargetting as there is in adsense ... right ? ( Note : I wrote the above just out of personal feelings , i do not have a YPN account , hence no first hand experience )
Hi All, The YPN Self Serve Beta program is not set to launch in India. When we are ready to launch in other markets, we'll be sure to notify you through an official announcement. Last month, we launched Yahoo! Search Marketing operations in India. As with other markets our Sponsored Search and Content Match listings in that market are placed on Yahoo! India. Additionally, they will be distributed to Yahoo! India's partner sites as agreements are signed. YahooSarah
Wow, It seems yahoo is getting a good viral mariketing sort of Popularity from this Lol YPN India ypnindia.com is available!!!!!!
I think it stands good chances of coming to India as they launched their YSM here few days back... I will ask some of my friends at Yahoo India and see if they know about it or not... Edit: aah no need to confirm as someone from Yahoo already replied in this thread..
And if Yahoo does come to India, then they better iron out the faults they are having at this moment. There are markets like the UK they haven't tapped yet and IMO they will launch there first
Forget about more english speaking indians than english speaking english.. I say there are more english speaking english indians than english speaking english
