I'm trying to locate websites (blogs, news sites, etc.) where I can place ads within specific niches (e.g. business, technology, marketing, etc.)? Is there a good place to begin looking?

you usually would use one of ad publishing networks that would provide placement services instead of chasing individual webmasters who might not be interested in placing any ads on their websites

What I will be doing is announcing the sale of a highly valued domain name, and I want to target decision makers in specific markets, e.g. technology. A blog that is read by technology decision makers might be one type of site that I would like to advertise on. Appreciate any advice that you can give.

 

I can most likely get you on Technorati's network of technology sites and blogs. Although, they do have a minimum campaign of $5K.

Did you have a budget in mind for your promotions? When will you be releasing the highly valued domain name to the public?

At this time I do not have a budget. I am in the process of doing due diligence and understanding what vehicles I have for advertising and the associated costs. From this, I hope to put together a plan for release to the public and advertising campaign.

 

Yes, there are a number of marketplaces that I am considering. Beyond these marketplaces, I would like to reach out, via advertising, to decision makers who may not be aware of domain marketplaces. I would like the advertising to be highly targeted.

 

What value are you seeking for the domain? I will continue thinking of some ideas.
