Yes, I am a beginner at photoshop design and I am currently working on a web hosting template, and I need to set an image as background but the image is small. Is there a way to make this image repeat on on the background?

    I would appreciate any help.

If it's the background for the whole website then you can use css style to make it repeating at your background. Anyway in Photoshop while editing you can do that in multiple ways, the easiest one I think would be creating a layer from this pic and duplicating it to the number you require. For faster duplicating you may duplicate it twice and after that group it and then duplicate the group and repeat the process it will speed up the whole operation. The other way to do that would be creating a layer and using your pic as a background texture.

You would probably receive more responses in the correct section of the forums. You posted in HTML/Web Design, try the Photoshop section next time.

The easiest way is as Affiliater suggested, just set the image and repeat it with CSS when you make your page. Although if you need to see it visually in photoshop first, use one of his other methods.

Photoshop is pain when you need to repeat. Duplicate your original layer a few times and spread it then use CTRL+E to merge them and repeat. As the size grows bigger of the background you can easily finish up the rest.

you can make them just duplicate the layers and merge them at the end.

Do you mean keep duplicating the layers till it fills out the page?

you can use pattern on photoshop open that image goto edit>> define pattern give a name of this pattern say "image 1" then click ok. now create a new layer then apply layer style>> pattern and then choose that pattern and apply on that layer
