Sd2001: Thanks again for the help.

jackburton2006: Pretty much topsites, directory's, and few personal link exchanges. I have a feeling someone started getting click happy and clicked the shit out of my ads. I checked my logs and it seems two IP addresses have 2,000 hits in 7 days. Kinda fishy to me. When I sent my reinstatement request to google I put those two down.

I think I may just have to call the big G headquarters tomorrow. lol. Anyone have the number or extension to talk to the Adsense department? Also what is the email address so that I can send an email to Adsense explaining my situation?

2000 hits? So you mean they viewed 10 pages?

There is a big difference between hits, pages, and visits.

Hexed: Hit's from the suspicious IP addresses. Atleast that's what Awstats are telling me.

chowbow: I sent it to the appeal address they sent me in my email.

Should I mention the word "Proxy" sites in my email to them? lol. I am just pretty sure this is why my account got banned. I want to come off professional and not as devastated. heh

    Alright, good. heh

Would anyone be willing to check out my sites in my sig and tell me if you can notice anything that might draw a flag with Adsense? Just in the case there is I want to remove it before pursuing getting my account reinstated.

I would be careful with Link Exchanges
It does say somewhere in the Google TOS that Link Exchanges are specifically forbidden - this is because it artificially gives your site a higher ranking than would otherwise be the case - not that google are fooled by such schemes, they find out in the end - when they shake the "link trees"

If there are invalid clicks - it means that Google have spotted either you clicking the ads or someone from your IP i.e. family members etc, clicking on the ads.
It can also be things like someone using your site with Java Script disabled or someone using a hidden IP or fake IP

Google have to very careful what is happening because there have been some really bad SCAMS running on Adsense in the past - like people clickin on each others ads

I would also be careful if you "buy" traffic from anyone - this is another thing you should NEVER do - this could throw up hidden/fake IP's which will get you banned on Google

Actually just about anything can trigger Googles "invalid clicks" warning - it is a bit of a moveable goalpost. Basically they can decide just about anything is an "invalid click"

If you concentrate on traffic from just search engines - dont use any FFA type links or classified ads sites which operate like an FFA site - ditch any link exchange systems - dont buy "traffic"
In the end you might think its too much trouble

Personally my own view is that link exchange methods are usually a waste of time. Its best to get people to ad a link to your site of their own accord, rather than some script based system. I also dont accept links from other sites unless they have quality content, and definately not pages with links all over the place

I would keep it to email and don't start cold calling them. They have 1000s of people refuting their banishment a day, they don't need people calling them. And yes, if someone with a proxy site linked to you, that might account for all the clicks coming from the same IP. Adsense isn't smart enough to tell the difference.

winningratings: I am the only one that uses my PC. Also I have NEVER clicked on my own ads. I do not buy traffic at all. The only thing I purchase is Adwords.

Hexed: I own a myspace for one of my sites. I don't do any spam bulletins or anything. I just add people and send out requests.

jackburton: Thanks for the suggestion. It's just a bummer that I think this is all a misunderstanding and I'm losing $20 a day from it. :(

God knows how long this whole thing is going to take and that's even if Google is understanding and willing to hear me out.

Consider yourself lucky it didnt happen if/when you got to the point of making a whole lot more per day.

Like I said, learn from it and move on. Lots of other ways to make money online.

Anyone get a chance to check out my sites to see if anything is wrong with my Adsense setup?

Huh, I never picked up that you were running Adsense on Myspace resource sites. Adsense has been pretty Nazi-like in banning Myspace sites for spamming via Myspace bulletins. Did you happen to use a Myspace bulletin bot to promote your site by any chance?

I don't understand - how come the Google ads are still appearing on the sites shown in digitalmikey's signature box?
