Good add placement and color matching. I don't like the match of the blue and yellow color against your background.

For the ads on the right, change your text color (for the ads) to white and keep the links to yellow..

nice placement and colors...try changing the ad on the right nav bar to a wide scraper...

 

ads placement is good . you can use bigger ads.

and adding one link unit is also a good option

Your ads look good to me, but I think you should consider making two separate blogs, one for cooking and the other for adsense/web stuff. That way you'll get more targeted ads and more clicks.
