Just out of curiosity what search engine databases does it use for it's web searches?

 

We use a custom made spider / info hit script which takes results from Yahoo / Altavista and adds hit ratings to them and thats how our sites those sites are ranked.

 

It looks awfully similar to the other search engine, in fact I just did my keyword search and the result is awfully similar to the other search engine result, except not as uptodate.

 

Index seems outdated, as yenny has said above. How do you plan on marketing this search engine?

Thanks for the feedback guys. It's getting most of its results from Bing and Yahoo Boss, but apart from that, due to high server costs we aren't using our spider that much to index the most active sites eg. facebook, youtube, digg and all & even if we did we would never have enough money to keep it up afterwords.

But what do you mean by how do i plan on this search engine?

Does anyone add a site to this search engine? I have not seen the option.

 

The web search looks good, I specifically like the preview feature for every search. The image search page however needs to be a lot more to be worked on. I ran a couple of searches for images and the page structure was completely whacked and only showed 1-2 images out of 20 odd on the page.

 

We have stopped crawling web pages due to high expense for server costs, and thats why we removed the page.

Sorry for the delayed response. We will be working on the image and video search soon. Improvements are needed indeed!

Why do you think that somebody will start using your engine, what makes it so speacial

 

Just an FYI; it's pretty slow. I tried loading it from several different locations, one at work, home, and the gf's place. All took 3-6 seconds to load.

 

its nice search engine, give accurate result

 

Spruse dot com new search engine is good and offers accurate result in web search option but not showing good result in images search.

 

do you have any information of the crawler/bot name ?
