I am new here but not new to forums, apologies if this is the wrong place I read all forum descriptions and felt this was the best place to post in. I have a fairly new forum with 44 members and lots of new and original content, I am constantly adjusting the forum to be indexed more efficiently in search engines. I keep tabs on google webmaster, yahoo site explorer, and bing webmaster. One small issue i have noticed with google webmaster is that it counts all of the links on my forum as links to the forum itself: Your site on the web >> Links to your site >> myforum.org >> 33,739 Would anyone care to tell me if it is a bad thing that my webmaster tools is doing this? I have searched for some possible explanations for this but came up empty handed.
If you check manually in search engine then it is not 33, 739, it would be in hundreds only, just try checking it in Google..
Yes i know that there are not 33k links to my site with google, I just want to know if anyone else has experienced the same thing with vbulletin and if it had any adverse effects on SEO. I blanked out the URL's cause I figured it's rude to show links since that would make it look like i was trying to advertise my site.
