Maybe show adsense in post spaces only for guest and not for members can be a good solution

Low CTR but also low maintenance. Sounds like a reasonable trade-off to me.

I think that's the drawback of running a webmaster forum ;)

    hi

see... 1% ctr generally means 10% CTR. Because user on forum refresh or goes to other threads atleast 20 times for once.

So 1% is too good .

I don't know what forums you have run in teh past but I reckon forums take twice the effort to run as a site or blog does with half the financial rewards. Well this has been my experience anyway - running a forum is all about people management and people are pains in the arse at the best of times.

    :p

I didn't mean that running a forum was low maintenance but that if you already have a forum, adding your Adsense code to the template is low maintenance.

There is definitely maintenance involved in running a forum but most good sites are constantly adding new content to non-forum areas as well, which also requires a lot of work. Possibly even more work than the forum.

    Exactly, that's what i did.
I also thought that it's possible that when showing ads to logged in users as well, the members could click too many ads which would raise a flag @ google.

Forums definitely take a lot less to maintain them. The only thing I do on my forum is clean up topics, move them to the correct forum, etc. And yet I still get $5/day for doing that. :D

Unless the forum is targeted to a fairly specific keyword, or set of keywords, and it attracts a good percentage of new members (aren't ad-blind), chances are not good that you'll make any significant money from Adsense.
