It is my personal opinion that you would be banned in 45 days from the first google adsense click showing a referer from this startxchange.com website.

    Google hates these things.

    Hello

Google considers traffic exchanges websites that give incentive to click ads. There are even exchanges that are designed for clicking each other's adsense. Because of this, you'll most likely get banned if you advertise your adsense pages on StartXchange.

What you can do, however, is advertise a splash page that opens your site in a new window. So if you have a blog, you'd put what your blog is about and have it open in a new window. Then its you advertising your site, and not advertising your adsense, and you shouldn't get any invalid clicks.

(I have Google email me whenever StartXchange is mentioned =P)

Yes.. The key is to actually be advertising your website on the exchange, not displaying your website.

Making a splash page that describes your website, and has a "Click here to open in a new window" link is the effective way to advertise on exchange. That way they have your site in a seperate window from the exchange and still have it open as they surf ;-)

(and in the case of adsense, only the people actually interested in your site are viewing the ads, so it doesn't look like you are trying to spam the ads)
