I have a list of about 10 - 15 keywords that i have achieved pretty much top 10 rankings for all of them. Now I have another concern. I noticed that when I search these keywords at the top of the listings google gives 2 rows, one labeled "Brands" and one labeled "Stores" and for some reason my brand or my store is not listed in either yet i'm ranked #2 or #3 on some keywords. So how do i get my website listed there? I mean these are even on top of the #1 search result!
Do you have a store with a physical location? If you do use Google Places to register your business, location and website so Google can display it near the top with the other places.
I don't have a physical store. But this is not relating to that. Do a quick google search for the term "bjj gi" and you will see submissionfc.com is ranked #2 or #3 there. Yet on top of even the first search result you will see a row of "Brands" and a row of "Stores" and if you click any of them it will make that brand ranked #1. I think it just changes your search term. Any ways, I want to know how I get my website there???
It's actually kind of had to understand what you're talking about. Would you mind telling me the keywords that you're searching for with the problem? That way I can search and see exactly what's going on. Okay I realized you did: I'm not sure exactly what "bjj gi" is. However it looks like it's a fighting style of some sort? Whatever it is those things under "brand" and "stores" are what Google affiliates with "bjj gi." It would be alot easier to understand if I knew what "Bjj Gi" is. What those links are because you're not getting it is a search. When you click on one of those links it takes you to the search results of that page. For example clicking "Atami" takes you to the search results for "Atami." Since Atami is a brand of whatever "bjj gi" is it's related to people searching for Bjj Gi. However you don't rank for the keywords Atami which means your not gonna see your page. Ranking for that brand is gonna be harder, you understand?
I just saw your last question. You would get your website there just like you got the top of "Bjj GI." all you gotta do is SEO. However it's gonna be alot harder to rank for someone else brand.
When I search using google.ca (my default) I don't see those options of "Brands" or "Stores", yours still comes up 3rd after some ads. Have you tried searching for the term while logged out of your Google account (history issues)? Even better yet, use a different browser. I use chrome by default, but I use safari when I'm suspicious with Google results, amongst other reasons. ... Just did a google.com search I see it now.
CameronHamilton - I'm not trying to rank for someone else's brand. I am trying to get my brand ranked there with the others under "Brand". I mean you can't say to do better SEO because I already have and I have outranked most of my competitors. And you asked what a bjj gi is, well bjj stands for brazilian jiu jitsu, and brazilian jiu jitsu is a martial art taking place on the ground. The "Gi" is the uniform used while training in the martial art. It is the #1 martial art used by UFC and MMA fighters.
