Thanks for the updates for us here at work (aka me) b/c i can't really watch the news while working. You would think the news would be all over this b/c of the obvious reasons...
Maybe they don't want to cause a huge impact and scare everyone into thinking another 9/11 is going down. I know for sure though if I was in a building right now I would be going home.

Seems hard to not be able to crash in the water at that location, as oppose to hitting a building. Any pilot with half a brain would have dumped his plane in the water.
Fow news says military jets are now in the air over many US ctites. Oddly enough there are jets in the air here in Ft. Wayne Indiana which isn't all that big of a city. Anyone else seeing or hearing jets?
Lets just hope that it was indeed a accident. Wow, that has to be one of the most inconsiderate things I have ever read.
I'd rather die pretty instantanious crashing in to a building than risk drowning to death.. ditching it in to an apartment complex is a little selfish though! Pete
Scrambling fighters over major cities seems like a strange thing to do, this seems to be an accident no matter how you look at it. Hopefully the decoy theory falls through.
I just climbed up to the building's roof. And yeah there are jets running patterns around the Chicago.
No good if you can't get out of the craft while you're under water and sinking fast.. the thought terrifies me. Pete
People who saw it say that the crash was not intentional and it tried to avoid the building, but it just crashed. Let's just hope it stays that way.
