Hi all.. I am new to this forum. No, not new actually because I am browsing a lot through here. I have to say that this is my first post!

Well I have the following problem:

I run a file hosting site (www.misterupload.com) and I just added the new languages, but the site is still showing ads from the US. For example: I live in the netherlands and when i click the Dutch language, is still see the US ads, but I am located in The Netherlands and the language is also showing in Dutch.

I allready emailed to Adsense support but get no reply of them. I hope somebody could advise me.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Pilar,

    Welcome on the forum!

    Two things:

    - the structure of the page is bad : the page contains 2 <html> tags. This should be corrected, because this type of error can confuse robots and browsers.

    - there are probably too many English words in the page. The title remains in English when I view the Dutch page.

I think you must set the language for every page .

    Thanks for your reply.

I think it will be a problem to change the english words, because the language is just a template and not a whole specific page for each language.

About the <html> tag, I think i can fix that.

I know what you mean, but the problem is that each page has 1 template, and the languages is just another template and not a whole new specific page for a language. I think that is a big problem for relevant Adsense ads for each language, right?

    * some adwords members target keywords in different languages especially in English.
    * your web page may contain some words that may be used in English or may be similar to some targeted words in English

    Beste Pilar,

Google does not take the language tags into account. That's not the way to solve the problem.

If you cannot remove the English words in your pages, the only solution is to ask Google for the permission to use this within the AdSense code :
    google_language = 'nl';
    Code (markup):

    Hi Jean-Luc,

The problem the site is builded with one template for the homepage and other sites, I think i cannot change the title pages to a specific language because it is one template, so i also cannot change the adsense code.. i think i'm toast :(

    Hi pilar,
I have my site www.indigoworld.com.au in both Japanese and English. Luckily I don't have language problem for AdSense now.
I just placed exactly same AdSense code for both languages, however first a couple weeks I had English ads appearing on my Japanese pages for some reason. It fixed itself after a while. I don't know why though...

However, what I've found is, for your information, that Japanese ads don't seem to have enough variety of ads like English ones. I mean, I found that it is really difficult to get relevant ads for Japanese pages. Sometimes, I can't even get an ad in the space... I don't have this problem with my English pages. I've tried this and that and finally decided to put more time and effort in my English pages as they are the ones that create revenues. I just assume that there's not enough ads through Japnese AdWord for the key words I am looking at.
Naturally, because of this problem, I can't get many AdSense clicks hardly any from my Japanese pages... You may want to research the ads available in your language?

    I wish you good luck.
    Cheers.

I also have a website in Dutch and am translating it to English. At this moment, the ads mostly shows in the right language. (there are some exceptions, but I think that is always that way, never heard about a 100% system :)
In my case, I used different languages (META TAGS) for the pages and...different channels within adsense control panel. So I don't use the same adsense code for all the pages.

you can see the difference here : http://www.boekensite.net (Dutch) and http://www.boekensite.net/indexe.html (English)
    (I hope it still works ;) )

Unfortunatly, I still think everything depends on your Meta Tags.

    success

No it doesn't have to. For example see this site and see the different ads in different languages:
    http://www.megaupload.com
    Code (markup):
I also have in my site different meta tags for each language

finally i have a reply from adsense support. They told me I have to add more content on each page to generate targeted adsense ads from different countries. So that is what my plan is for these last weeks of the month.

    Any more tips are appreciate
