We all know that Thilak is a scammer, spammer, content theif, fraud, etc.

If you do not know him, there are lots of threads going on DP about how he cheated us all...you may start reading them from here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=155444

So the question is...Do you want Thilak banned from DP? Please vote ;)

People only get banned for violating the rules, not because they lost out in a poll.

If he is deep in the red and has a neg iTrader, he won't be able to post in BST anyway

And we don't particularly think highly of people who publicly harass other members (whether good or bad) and ask for their heads to roll either. A bit of tact here and there goes a long way. If you don't like a scammer, just don't do business with him.

2 n00bs voting yes certainly won't get us ban trigger finger happy.

Unless you are an admin or moderator here, you don't have the option to ban anyone, so kind of a pointless poll, eh?

If the user violated rules, report the post it happened in.

Has enough negative talk about him or her.

He or she is going to come back as a new user and start over life again.

Hope he or she will do good business next time.

Attempting to scam or defraud members ought to be against the rules IMO.

Another member who ought to be banned IMO is RedRum*

If the member in question wants to improve then he shouldn't be banned, but it's hard to tell if they really do want to improve or...

    dear friends,

"Black will not take any other hue" - though you try your best - that's what i believe. But i am agreed with Admin. If you think a Thread or post of a user is a spam you can always have the ability to report it as they can be taken care by the admin and mods. I think that is a serious user will do and should do. I don't support banning a user by a poll. No use.

    Thanks.

I'm familiar with what he did, more or less. But how could people continue to be ripped off if it was discovered he was such a con artist? That's what I want to know :p

Haha, that's exactly what I mean dastuff. :) Scammers are bad, but if there's information floating around that he's been ripping people off, it's your responsibility to check out his reputation before entering into an agreement with him.

Man the best way is to look at the past threads of sellers before buying.... if he had done any wrong earlier .... we should not buy

In this way... he can be isolated from community without being banned.

I know I can't ban Thilak with just a Poll. This Poll is for moderators and Admins to know how many people want him banned ;)

I think the point Shawn and everyone else is making is that it would be far more tactful to privately report the post that contains the scam and have them deal with it from there.

500 votes against this guy doesn't mean he will be banned, it just means he is disliked.

This guy is very smart. He started with 0 iTrader and then offered high PR links for a price you can't refuse. Generated very quick sales in a matter of minutes and ultimately gained positive iTrader the same day (even I was one of them who gave him a positive iTrader ). We later realized that the guy is selling fake PR links and is a bloody scammer. Anyone can easily be ripped off by looking at his positive iTrader.
