It depends on, well everything, how much your paying per click, how good your keywords are, if the product is any good, if it's a hungry market etc. First off, are you on about simply sending the traffic straight to your clickbank hoplink? The chances are the landing page will give you a crappy adwords quaintly score to start with, combined with the fact you can't tweak anything, unless you rip their landing page - Some products let you use their landing page and tweak it, you'll need to contact the affiliate manger of the product to find out there.
I don't know how the hell this is possible. First of all, Google isn't going to let you create a PPC add direct to a clickbank product with your hop in it, because you are going to get a 1 out of 10 quality score. Second of all anyone who says they use PPC to promote clickbank products is full of crap. I have spent 700 dollars on PPC in the last week testing out my clickbank products on presell pages. I have carefully chosen high converting products with excellent quality landing pages, yet I am still getting this crap. Only 5 percent of people click on my learn more button and actually go to the clickbank page. And of those, I haven't even had one sale. There is no way in hell you can make money with PPC unless you could somehow find a way to directly send customers to a clickbank page with your hoplink in it. Unfortunately, however, I don't think this is possible as your landing page quality would be 1 out of 10. Let me know if I am wrong.
You sir seem to be a very bitter person who is clearly upset by Affiliate Marketing but I guess I would be too if I was burning through cash with little to zero ROI. And yes, you are VERY WRONG- myself and MANY, MANY other marketers that I personally know have made a ton of money promoting CB products via PPC for a number of years.
Interesting to read opposite views of the same problem. PPC works - but you can lose a ton of $ very quickly if you aren't very clear about what you want to do and how to do it. If you do know what you are doing, you can get quality traffic at a price you decide. For newbies CB, like other affiliate markets can be a bag of worms - and vendors playing sneaky tricks like just using your traffic to build their own lists etc really doesn't help. Unfortunately most offers convert at a low rate making it very difficult to get started, particularly if you are buying traffic. If you find offers that convert to sales at just 1% and traffic is costing you $20 a click (5% of $1 clicks) then you need to make $2000 per sale just to break even! Finding good converting offers also costs time and money for affiliates - so while it can and does work, it is nowhere near as easy as many people would like newbies to believe. Best way to get going is to find a mentor already doing this successfully.
imo it doesn't work at all, also had some accounts banned by adwords by promoting some of my products, google doesn't like selling landing pages at all. It could work if you blackhat and show google other pages (specially designed for google bot) but i cba to do that.
It's just I have launched this new product on Clickbank but I'm not really getting anyone promoting it or anything and I can only see adwords as being the only option.
Hi Lewis, It's great if you have something of value to sell - but the real problem for everybody is: have you got an offer that converts to sales $? Have you driven PPC, banner email list etc traffic to your offer and confirmed it converts to sales? If you haven't already proven your offer converts, can you really expect affiliates to spend the time, money and risk to do this for you? If you have these results, are you willing to share them with afiliates? (with the usual qualifications, disclaimers etc) Whatever the results, you should also be continuously spilt-testing to improve performance. My experience is that only a few % of affiliate offers convert at a rate that makes me want to promote them. If you can convince me that you have a good product and it converts reliably into sales, then I would consider promoting it to one of my lists - if it is in a relevant niche
Thanks! I have sent you a PM seafrontsteve! I could do with some advice regarding Clickbank! Thank you once again!
Really difficult with your type of product to use Adwords, it is banned in most of the countries, no gambling sites, or gambling relates sites.
I personally think thatthat it can work but never worked for me. My landing pages designed to presell - these are one page websites without any outgoing links and I am getting 1/10QS very quickly. Already got my account almost banned so I stopped the campaigns (That could turn profitable by the way if google wasn't google) and started testing other sources of traffic. If you think you can build a website that converts well enough to make the campeighn profitable without getting your QS down to 1 then I guess it's more then possible to make money with adwords, tons of money!
That can be one of your worst mistakes. If you are going on adwords with out some good previous knowledge then you can see adwords eating up all your money and you won't be getting a single sale. Search for some adwords tips and have a good knowledge about which keywords to target etc and only then go for Adowrds, else Adwords can prove to be a legal robbery.
From what I hear it doesn't work for many people, they always get poor quality score if they try to link directly to clickbank affiliate product. So one way around this is just link to your website, where visitors can read a review or something, or they can sign up, then have a link to your affiliate offer from your website.
