Hi friends, I've just registered Samsung 9 Series dot com domain. This is the exact TM brand of the new Samsung high class notebook to compete with Macbook Air. Do you thing it is good?
Sorry no congratulations for you at this time. Samusng is a trademark name. Unfortunately, your domain has no value and it could only get you in trouble (law suite).
Try not get anything related to the model , because it will outdated and your domain will become no value. It not worth. Unless you get iphone , then maybe it worth .
Years ago, I thought I had the world when I grabbed a great eBay domain name. And I thought that because it was available, it would be fine. Then spent money and time putting a fantastic site together to resell quality eBay products. All was rosy until the email from eBay arrived! Doesn't matter that it was an above board business I was conducting. I'd trespassed on their trademark. Major lesson learned. Don't!
Yea seriously. If Samsung wanted they could bankrupt you in a instant. I'm actually not sure if domain squatting is criminal or a civil offense. I think it actually might be civil for some reason. However if they don't sue you or send you a letter to cieze what you're doing then it's good. It would make a great thin content affiliate website. Probably might make you a few bucks.
Thank you all for advices. I am a noop So, my other domain, ipadquote.com, is safe or not because it has iPad?
I'd say that the name is no doubt good one, but it has no value due to trademark things. BIG no no...
Question is... Is this domain name worth a congratulation? Answer is... YES! But for Samsung having another one fool enough to register a trademarked name to be sued if used, no offense though
It is you mean that you bought ebay domain name before or just the relevant or similar domain name? It will mess up lot of thing with the real e-bay, that true, but some prefer those because they able to hunt for ebay customers as well which enter the wrong domain name and so on. They would like to get the traffic which same lie facebook which people would like to get some traffic from there from wrong type of add with the spelling error.
If Samsung wants to sue you they can. My recommendation is not use this domain or sell it to other guy. It's similar to Facebook domains, like myfacebook.com, whoisinmyfacebook.com or others like them.
Samsung will update their products, at that time your domain will be outdated. What's more, the domain name is too long.
Sorry to dig this aged thread up. I've seen several sites like lenovolaptops.com. They used trademark (lenovo) and the content is similar to what lenovo produce (laptops) Asuslaptop.co.uk at the footer they wrote: How it's possible?
