Hellloooo all respected forum members I have very important and difficult question for all of you. My question is can I provide a wordpress hosting to any domain name of my clients? I mean that I have a hosting plan that can host unlimited domain name and I want to sell hosting service for a simple wordpress website. This is how it works. I will put a post some like $5 simple wordpress websites hosting for a year of any 3 domain name of your choice ok. then some client will come and say I want to get your service to these three domain name wall.com, cool.com, sell.com then I will give my unique hosting server name to put on his domain hosting providing area then I will install a wordpress on his domain and give him the user name and password after he send me the payment. I want to ask you all member that will it be save to give my hosting server info to my client? I have never done this so might be there can be some danger of any one break in to my member area and messed up every thing. Please any helpful tip will help and If any one have problem understanding my thread please reply to my thread.:confused:

If you have a reseller account then you should create a different account for different customers. If you just have an unlimited shared hosting account you should not sell the space, and it is almost certainly against the ToS of your host.

And if its for $5, make sure you post it in the cheap stuff section.

What is your hosting type? Shared or Reseller? You can get this done easily if you are using reseller package while the opposite if you are using shared hosting. It is true that many shared hosting package does offer a "virtual" unlimited package. It is only virtually because they are not that unlimited really. They just lifted a limit to that high where most websites could not reached. Another limited of shared hosting are

    - Overall resource usage : your clients could not use a resource over a "small" limits setting up by hosting provider including CPU usage.

    - Number of visitors : there is a limit for number of visitors that each website could handle for a period of time. If you have 5 clients and each of your client website got around 10,000 unique visitors coming simultaneously then it is counting as 50,000 visitors per time. This is an over limit from most shared hosting perspective.

    - Most of shared hosting package do not offers custom name server so your clients will use the similar name server for their website.

Please dont take money from people for a service which you dont know how to provide.

Is it safe giving our your hosting details - it depends on what service you are getting from the host and what details you're giving out.

If this is just some cheap oversold overpromised underdelivering unlimited (i.e. you've been lied to) shared hosting account then NO.

Yes you can by using Reseller account.

But you need to use dedicated IP address if you wanted to use unique hosting NS.

Go with reseller account and you will face a less problem. You cannot just use shared hosting and resell it to anyone. It will not reliable and no resource pool enough.
