Is it possible for a bot to click a link within a frame? This frame is from other website and not on the same site.
mmm simply a bot is also like a user agent. The only different is it does the coping and analyzing instead of reading. So ya bot can look inside a frame just like we do.But it doesn't use it with your site because that is not belong to you. It's a remote content.
A bot or crawler is the same, right? If they can click a click inside a frame, will they move away and not continue crawling your website?

Using frames is not a very good idea. There are usually a number of ways to display the content but it depends on what you are trying to do. If you are trying to dupe Google into thinking you are the owner of the framed site then this won't work. It may have worked 10 years ago but you will get pulled up for it now.
The question here if a bot/crawler can click on the link within a frame that is from other site. If you are asking about the other site then it's my own site.
Ah my bad. From what I can find: Google may or may not index content from within iframes and that additional text links should be used to make sure the link is collected. Not sure if that helps.
I don't think there will be an easy way to do this, but you could try AutoIt. If you have control over the positioning of the frame and the location of the link will be consistent on the screen, then you can write a script to do it. Another option may be to use a keyboard script so that Ctrl+F is hit, then type the relevant text that's on the link, and hit ESC to leave the Find box, and you should have the link selected. Make sense? It'd just be a string of keyboard shortcuts.
