As title, just let guys know, 2 months ago EGS sell a website listing here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1833578

and i pmed him for bin and went to bed, when i woke up, i received this message.

well, this message look like invitation for trade so i made the payment once i saw this.

and after awhile i saw a guys posted BIN on the thread, so i posted i paid as well.

after that, i got the following message for EGS

well, to be frank, he shouldn't take others payment after he asked me to pay him but that's fine, I wait for my refund patiently.

after two days waiting, i decide to send another message to EGS and this is what i got from him.

Well, i told him i'm not interested with that i request my refund but i got no reply from him and i saw he posted he injured himself, so i'm trying to be fool to think that he might be difficult to reply me or refund me.

I decide to wait, and today i saw he started to post on the forum actively but no single reply for me nor refund.

Obviously, that action represent fraud or scam, i couldn't think of any other reason , whenever someone dealing with him, please be aware of that.

P/S:someone can inspect my inbox for those message.

Digitalpoint username: EGS = egamingsupply.com username: Monarch and the CEO of www.egamingsupply.com egs.us
    http://www.egamingsupply.com/forum/monarch-member.html

I want to clarify EGS wasn not banned for scamming, and I don't know the actual reason.

Virtual FAQs has been investigating him for a long time now, and we do hope to hear his side of the story.
Here are some other news articles about EGS and the EGS CEO.
    http://virtualfaqs.com/articles/egs-16/

Monarch: If you get unbanned from DP one day, please post your reply here or feel free to post on EGS with an explanation. Or you're welcome to post on Virtual FAQs, and we'll relay your response to DP for you.

I dont think you should judge straight away. Could have been a misunderstanding, however it is bad business of him to have taken payment and then sold to someobody else.

The original post was 6 months ago. That's way too long for a simple misunderstanding.

True, but if the member was banned from DP before he had a chance to respond it may have been difficult for him to contact him and refund. But I agree it is likely that he was going to leave DP and probably wanted to take $200 with him. I would be interested to know if anybody on DP did actually recieve the domain in question which the victim wanted to buy?

$200 is not a lot, I don't think EGS would scam over that amount.

EGS wasn't banned until December actually.

Sorry I actually requested the OP bump this as we're doing an investigation on EGS - egamingsupply.com specifically the EGS CEO. Virtual FAQs is a news source dedicated to investigations on forums dealing with virtual transactions and scam prevention. As you can see the member in question specifically runs a website that has everything to do with preventing scamming. So it is utmost importance that we figure out the truth.

That surprised me too when the OP says a refund was never given after 6 months.

Seriously, i don't care about the $200 because i'm sicken tiring to pm him anymore.
Well, i did not file dispute over paypal at that time because i trusted him and due to his back injured, so i'm trying to be kind not to rush him. But after awhile, when i start pming him, he starting to send me message like not sure where the fund been, etc etc then offer me some other site for $200. However, i'm not interested in the other site he offered me and hence request for the refund, since after that, no matter how hard i pm him, no reply nor anything. Please note: He is still active on this forum but just ignoring my pm completely.

$200 to ruin someone hardly build reputation, i guess it is cheap =)

If he hasn't paid back the amount after dozens of requests and six months, it is obvious that he doesn't want to refund the amount.

If that is not a scam, what is?

As per the commitment, it was the responsibility of him to handover the rights to the concerned person, if he can't then he would give the money back. He is offering the new site but the purchaser is not interested to take that and after so much message, he is not giving the money back to him. Then what is it - Scam or What.

I would remind this thing in future.

I also got scammed by EGS.. he's a lowlife scammer who makes up stories of not receiving your emails and claiming that he sent you emails too.

He also claims he broke his back and other ridiculous stories to make you feel sorry for him. In close to 3 years on DP he is officially the worst person I've ever dealt with.. so just to vindicate joelwyn - you are not alone

for me I got scammed here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1976439

he kept saying I was holding up the work because I refused to give him access to my control panel (and good job I did) because he said he needed to do email forwarding to get approvals for the directory submissions.. after months of pathetic email attempts he finally submitted my site to like 10 free directories or something it was such a joke

http://www.google.com/profiles/justice.mccay?hl=en is his profile so be careful if you see him on any sites: http://www.linkative.com/seo-services/web-directory-submission/ and some other ones he owns as well

I only got scammed like $150 in total but the guy is a complete joke but live and learn..

but yea there should be no doubt he is 100% scammer

by the way I can't even file a paypal claim because

    a) when we first did the transaction he made me pay, then said that he gave me the wrong paypal address so he refunded the money and then made me send it to another one - I'm not sure but I think this negated my ability to file a paypal claim in the future since it shows that I got a refund from his real paypal account - the whole thing seemed fishy from the get go
    b) over 3 months - he checks in periodically until the 3 months expires.. for weeks I was asking him just to refund my money and leave me alone but to no avail

to be honest I should've known better, but I figured that he had decent itraders seemed legit but at end of day he is a pure scammer so anything virtualfaqs or anyone else can do on DP to help others from being scammed from Justice McCay (if that is his real name) would be awesome, best of luck to all and like always here on DP:

"If it seems too good to be true, it usually is" :)

I don't understand why none of you has left a negative iTrader for him which seemed to be the appropriate thing to do? And I don't get it what good can this thread possibly do as he is already banned.

Digital Point username: EGS is run by Justice McKay who is also the super admin of a site called EGS egamingsupply.com under username Monarch. It's like DP's marketplace but deals exclusively with gaming accounts and virtual gaming items. That site has over 60,000 members, and he's gone missing since December 21, 2010. Now we are trying to figure out just how far the rabbit hole goes. Here's his profile on EGS
    http://www.egamingsupply.com/forum/monarch-member.html
Forum Leaders in case you think the user title is fake.
    http://www.egamingsupply.com/forum/showgroups.php
EGS staff and its members grew tired of his behavior and decimated his feedback profile. Bet you've never seen a super admin with -10 feedback before. :D

My advice for everyone who got scammed is if you paid with credit card in some extreme circumstances you can file a chargeback up to a year. If you used bank funds, then you're out of luck.
