Is Articlebase Nofollow article directory!

I googled for top directories and i found that vretoolbar is listing articlebase.com as a nofollow directory!

Does that mean submitting to articlebase will not help in SEO!

Please suggest, i used to submit more articles to goarticles and article base!

 

they are a nofollow directory which is a bit of a rip off,

some people suggest there is still some good to come from nofollow tags

 

Although it is a no follow directory, the active users are more on the site, you can use it to drive the traffic by good click rate

 

good point, that wont be useful to everyone though, as a local job board its unlikely anyone who reads our articles will come from the same city as us, for this reason articles are merely a link building tool.

Those who have national or international site will benefit from the boost in traffic

 

It's not that they won't be useful SEOwise. Its just that they won't be nearly as useful as if they were DOfollow. Try EzineArticles, I think that it is much better than any other article directory out there....

 

Can you point me to one single site on Internet that uses DOfollow Meta Tag?

Yes articlebase is nofollow website. Its done to prevent spammers for artificial link building.

Came to this thread by Google, is article base still no follow? I am really confused as my web master tool in Google recognised all my articles at article base?

Articlebase IS nofollow. I still use it however, a backlink is a backlink and YES, your articles WILL be indexed in google. I've had some of mine on articlebase come onto the first page of google.

 

Nofollow is not always bad; although it won't help for your pagerank, a well written article can lead to some highly targeted traffic to your websites.

Actually, when I first submitted an article to articlebase, when you preview your article before you publish it, the links are dofollow (if in the resource box) and I was all excited. Once it's published however, it goes nofollow.

Still, all you ignorant people who know nothing about SEO and just echo others about how nofollow is bad and useless, please be quiet and go away.
