I have been wondering about this for a while, say you run a Free Ipod site and run incentive offers on the site. Do these owners usually use their own script to track who completed which offer and to give credit to them or does the link that comes with the offer track it for you (or something like that?) - Thanks
u can assign subids to track it that you input in or there are some automated systems out there. I haven't used any so i can't reccomend them... but i have used it where they users name was taged on end of url as subid to track signups and reward them.
I know that, I was just wondering how you can track it. "but i have used it where they users name was taged on end of url as subid to track signups and reward them." Can you show me how to code this? OR a script you know.? I've found one.. http://www.myeasyscripts.com/en/products/projekt-irs Thanks for replying.
Google Analytics isn't a script to track incentive offers, like when a member signs up for an offer, it gives the member credit.
with azoogle (w/ aff), azoogle w/o aff you can tag along custom link descriptors so you can write up a simple php/cgi script to tag along your customer id to the links that you provide. but then you'd have to reconcile at the end of the day, ie: which of your customers bought what. if an offer completion means that the customer got to the second page of your sponsor I'm not sure how an outside script can track that...
Here's the basic algorithm: 1. You set sub id when your user click your link ex: offer.php?subid=user-offer 2. The link take user to affiliate network 3. Affiliate network store your subid on your report for completed lead/sales 4 You check your report for subid, if you find a valid lead/sales you credit user with the amount of points from offer You can do that manually or automatically
Yes. Not meaning to advertise here but since you asked I have a copy of the FSRS (free stuff referral script) which costs $90 at fsrs.net. I will sell you it cheaper if you are interested.
