Need Urgent Legal Advice Regarding A Domain

I have a domain name, and whilst out shopping the other day I saw a company banner on a building with the name, basically my domain is the full company name, then I was shocked to see that they had put my domain name on that banner, when they do not own it, can i sue the company??

If they have trademark on the company name- very probable - they can get your domain, even if you registered it before they were formed. Pay attention to what you use your domain for, and do not be so eager to sue, consult a lawyer.

 

Sue them for what? How have they damaged your domain? What damages could you possibly prove? Was this company around before you registered or acquired the domain? The timing, combined with the actual domain name, may give them cause to take the domain from you.

 

Depends on Trademark registration and the age.
