From profile links do you mean Paul and Angela backlinks, if yes then I don't think that help that much now days as these sites are heavily spammed, so I don't think it's a wise idea if you are thinking of using it.

If you want to get "greyhat" you can Digg your profile URL or use one of the hundreds of other social media sites, then ping that instead of your profile link.
