Hypocritical christians that make racist posts about muslims... take a good read.

Greated, I'm christian, so dont take this as a slam on christianity. I've seen way too many racist (generalizations are racists for those of you that can't tell the difference) comments about muslims as a whole.

People look at a few absolutely horrible instances of atrocities done by some radical muslims and have enough ignorance to spout something like "the radical behaviors are based on actual muslim teaching."

NEWS FLASH:

Religous teachings can be taken out of context by radical followers to pervert the purpose of the religion.

For instance, here are some great quotes I could use to try to pervert christianity. (not that this has never been done.... look at the spanish inquisition or the KKK... remember that? oh yes... there are radical christians and have been plenty of them)

Christian Bible Examples:

Translation: Jesus makes a reference to "being good" even when you think your judgement day isn't going to happen soon.

Radical Perversion: Jesus endorses slavery! Blacks should be happy as slaves and love their masters and work hard for them even when they're not watching.

Translation: This is a quote that depicts common culture of the Hebrew in ancient times. It is not a reflection on current day christians, even though polygamy and adultry still occurs today by christians. Polygamy was only outlawed in christiany in the last few hundred years.

Radical Perversion: God wants you to have multiple wives and its ok to cheat on your wives so long as you pray for it. If god sends you someone to have sex with, he wants you to make a family with her.

This one cant even be translated to anything good. Sometimes, you have to understand that biblical passsages were written for the time.

This one can't be translated to anything good either. It states that you should murder women that can't prove their virginity since they're "evil." (Note, women can lose their hymen without having sex). This is from the christian bible! Note that most christians do not practice this today, even though they are INSTRUCTED to do so in the bible.

In this one, Jesus condones killing the innocent children of sinners. Again, not practiced by most christians but condoned by the christian bible.


Ok, so what now?

Understand that there are 1.3 billion muslims worldwide. Even if a million muslims are extremists, it wouldn't even equate to 1% of their demographic.

Think of Al Quida and these dumbass child stoners are like America's KKK and those few crazy chrisitan mothers that mudered their daughters for skipping church.

It simply doesnt reflect upon the majority.

We christians need to not become "radical christians." We have to follow the more difficult route and be tolerant and support peace. We need to turn the other cheek. Defend ourselves, yes. Spread unnecessary war and create more extremists on the other side, no.

 

Well, there are thousands of people visiting Digitalpoint everyday, So it is something normal to see "extremist" making a racist post...I won't blame them as it shows how they are lacking in knowledge about their own religion, or else they wouldn't be racist.. Its not about the religion itself, but it is about the people who think they are following their religion correctly.

Christianity is full of Flaw, SOme christians (claiming to be true christians, but actually who are brainwashed by Missionaries through hynpotism and various psycological ways) , who cant digets the fact, starts posting racist comments on Islam. (iam not a muslim, iam a hindu).

Islam is more logical than christianity, it believes in single god, But as per christianity there are 3 gods (LOL)

 

Intelligent post Citizen, I enjoyed reading it. Sometimes it is kind of frightening to read some of these posts where people will make statements that all Muslims are terrorists. I read a posting the other day where the guy was saying we need to declare open season on all muslims and just go out and kill them all. There is a danger when people want to lump all Muslims in one category and label them as evil. Thanks for your post, happy to see some sanity on DP!

Yes, there are some radical Christians out there too. It's sad. That's why we need to continue to pray for truth in the scriptures. And to tell the difference between real and false prophits.

 

Rule #1 of Christianity is repentance. You must repent for your "sins" and acknowledge Jesus Christ as your personal bullshit artist or else you will spend eternity frying in hell

It's ironic to see Christians whining about terrorism (not that I condone terrorism) when their whole lives are based on being terrorized, by the threat of being sent to hell if they don't acknowledge themselves to be losers & repent their "sins".

Islam isn't any better either. My suggestion to the OP is to stop caring, get above and beyond this crap.

 

The point is, Christians can put it back into context to show how the "radicals" are misguided. I'm still waiting to see how the radical Muslims are misguided. Menj has agreed with the radical actions taken and supported them with Islamic teaching.

Jesus PERSONALLY will take care of them. I don't see how that translates into condoning the killing of children and sinners. If you have a problem with Jesus himself killing someone you'll have to take it up with him.

1. I agree that some missionaries are imposing their view of Christianity. Their understanding of the Divine indeed is very limited.
There are not 3 gods in Christianity. Jesus never said "we are 3 Gods".

God is one. One is the creator of the world. Jesus Christ is God's servant.
- Jesus Christ relates to God as his Father. So there are two beings here.

If Jesus is God as some of them literally accept. Does God need to pray to Himself?
It makes no sense right.

3. May be Islam has some logic. But I find it hard to believe in the logic of a man (prophet) in his 50ties to marry a 9 old girl.

(Which normal family would alow their 9year old daughter still playing with dolls to marry 50 +year old man?)

(Which normal father would ask his son to divorce his wife so he can marry her?)
One can make the conclusion. A prophet can marry any woman he wishes.

A prophet is supposed to lead a "pure" life style. Away from "human" desires and temptations. Muhammad in fact plays the role of "Divine Teacher or Guru" as you guys call them in India, but seems to be doing things that common people do.

If God wants people to live like brothers, why would one stone his brother?
