For example, how much a website having a alexa rank of around 100 k fetch ? What are the other factors that will influence its selling price ?

Alexa rank factor is useless IMO. There are so many other factors one needs to consider. For e.g. BL etc.

Generally its the earning of the site which play the major role in deciding the price

To sum it up value of the traffic + value of the content + value of the domain .

You take the amount that someone is willing to pay for your site, and that's your site's value.

I fully agree with the previous member. Forget about every "bot" that could tell you that your site has value of $123,456 ;)

Agree with you on this as those sites are useless.

To make things simpler, I follow this rule: what you earn on that website per month x 10. Simple nuff ;)

^What about BL, PR, what if it goes with some youtube/fb accounts. That's still traffic for the customer.

Cubestat.com is pretty decent to find out a site's worth. I wouldn't go down the alexa route for such purposes.

monthly revenue x 10 is pretty much standard for calculating a site's net worth.

    i use this method:

If im selling i charge 24x its monthly net profit

if im buying i look at the domain the site age what it ranks for and its net profit then i will offer 4 months of what i think it will make ME when i run it.
