You're put to much trust in the human race if you expect trolls to actually research their arguments :p

Do the dumb and dumber group know that there is a difference between GDP(PPP) number that little willy links to and actual cost of living?
Just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself! ;):D

Ohh lil trolly never heard of supply and demand . Here's how it works : you can't take from consumers more then they have , or else you starve . That the relationship direct relationship between GDP(PPP) and costs of living . And if we are so dumb and you're so smart why aren't you a MENSA ?

Lol I don't know I suppose we're richer since we have better trading possibilities . Most of Iran's GDP comes from exports of resources and that puts the money in the hands of a few people . I can't say i know exactly how things are in Iran but since the state holds half of the economy I don't imagine the average Iranian getting to rich .

    yeah you are right.
I just concluded evidences in others posts. supposed (just supposed) that Romanian and Iranian earn equal (as GDP) then if cost of living in Iran was a lot more than Romania then for Iranian no money remain to save hence can tell Romanian are richer.

I don't know exactly about cost of living in Romania right know, my brother was in Romania during your ex regimen.
For your information have to add:
cost of living in Iran wasn't high till this month (Iranian calendar, means till 11 days ago when subsidize removed somewhat).
last month we could get 11 litter of gasoline for one US dollar, this month exceeded to four times. Every month I had paid one dollar for gas in pipeline and never checked our consume, for this month don't know price yet. Electricity almost 10 dollar per month but now goes 4 times more I guess. A loaf of bread exceeded three times and so on.
Our government paid subsidize cash and for each person 40 dollar per month.

Well our government pays only those whit no income . For one adult person to buy basic food (enough not to fall into malnutrition , anemia or any other deficiencies) for a week from a supermarket it will cost about 100 USD . Electricity for a single person whit a modest apartment cost about 10 USD per month and for one USD you can buy 0.6 liters of gasoline :p

GDP got nothing to do with cost of living and in most cases is not even accurate measurement of economy. If it was then with all money the Romanian girls earn on their back, Romania would have one of the highest GDP in the world.

It just in one report is higher but in the same page, CIA put Iran higher but both are irrelevant. If you ever visit Romania then may be you learn the difference.

Even the poor in Iran are richer than poor in Romania.

Are you sure you live in Iran. You can not go to any good restaurant with out paying 70-80 USD for 2 person and this doesn´t even include any Alcohol. Hotel cost is about 300 USD /night.

This is interesting. Since average income in Romania is less than 400 USD which doesn´t cover their food cost, it makes you wonder how do they make the difference to survive?

    Average Salary in Romania

The average salary Romania is about the same as minimum wage that is chosen by Iran government.

You're assuming that people live from only their salaries . That assumption is as wrong as it gets , you're forgetting the fact that human behavior is a social behavior .

LoL. This reminds me of something a Ukrainian friend of mine told me. Apparently we will never know the average wage in Russia because the Mob doesn't provide those statistics.

His brother studied when the communist regime was in power . In the 80' there was nothing to party about , austerity and food rationing was in full blown action .

Well besides that there are a lot of people that have relatives that help them . Whit about 3 million people working abroad there is a lot of money sent in the country .

LOL. In the 80´everything was even cheaper, a pair of old jean, a box of cigarette and you could get anything you want in your country. I even entered your country without any visa by just giving the immigration officer a box of cigarette.

Flight directly to Bucharest since I was in a hurry and in that time it would take 3 weeks to get visa. Bought a box of Marlboro and gave to the immigration officer in the airport with my passport. Stamped an entry visa without blinking an eye. I miss the old eastern Europe, everything was so easy and cheap.

Ah that sounds more like it , althou the currency was Kent boxes . I don't miss the lack of freedom and the brutal regime . Also if you're complaining about cheapness then you're on thr wrong planet.

I don´t miss lack of freedom and brutal regime either. In a way Romania was much worse than Soviet, Poland, East Germany,.... I had a lot of fun traveling in East Europe, people were nice but you could end up in quite dangerous situations too. In a way some times it is more dangerous now than before. People were poor before but for some people and in some areas it has got even worse than before. In Russia people are openly talking about missing the old soviet days.
