wired question about bandwidth

    wired question about bandwidth ........ok this is very confusion for me

    for example i have a hosting of 5GB(Bandwidth) now i remote upload to hotfile.com .....now it is my question can it will suck all my bandwidth ?
    this process is download ? please explain ?

    Alright I will try to explain you,

    if you are using a remote desktop connection to upload your file to hotfile.com - then during your upload to the hotfile server, you will use the bandwidth of your server.

    if you are uploading 1 file take 1Gb space, and you have 5Gb of Bandwidth - then you will left 4Gb of bandwidth on your server.

    Yes any upload or download is count as bandwidth.

    It depends on your host, their set up, and what policies they operate.

    We don't charge/count FTP transfers as part of the total traffic for a web site because we operate a centralised FTP Server that provides FTP services for all the different web servers and managed servers. We do know what the traffic is, but unless you are abusing it then we don't count it. Same for email as email operates on it's own cluster of servers that are separate from the web servers. Databases (upload and backup) is the same too.

    Also, we only charge for/count web site traffic in the busiest direction although we always know the "total in" and "total out" traffic.
