Google can use Pagerank indefinitely internally. The question is, are they ever going to make the value exported to the public again. They don't really need to, and I strongly suspect they're not going to.

There is no point in giving pagerank any more. This has been exploited so much that its not worth it now. May be some other form of ranking should be developed.

It is amazing but true, I have a NA page rank that gets, over 400 hundred thousand hits per year, Unique hits, so page rank is dead, ) and from the famous movie, with Jack Nicholson, " Im Glad your dead"

But I loved the concept of Google having a ranking system in place where you could brag about how awesome your website is because you have a PR of 5 and your competitor has a PR of 3, but under the cover they're making more sales than you lol. \

I think I'm starting to put this together... apparently, Google has started updating toolbar PR with values that are almost a year old. That's why owners of newer sites sit and scratch their heads when update after update brings no difference at all.

I don't rely on pagerank for traffic, I rely on it for it selling domains. And it still plays a factor SEO.

Maybe because you have no idea that SEO has nothing to do with PR.... backlinks do.

Absolutely wrong. if they do not export the PR, they should kill it. It is not possible to keep websites with their current PR.
I suppose they decided to be unpredictable in PR updates, so they are not making any changes or having some big news for the PR
