Actually i have one email marketing portal with the page rank 3, i have seen one competitor for each of my keyword his website higher than my keyword position, His website has only one page not sub links, his keyword density is more than 80 percentage, their page rank is zero, how can i go topper than that website, any ideas, i am doing proper SEO also but still i am under their website.
Certain things have no logical explanation in SEO. Be patient, in next ranking update, you will be above our competitors, continue doing SEO works.
See, only backlinks will not work !! here are few important factor that really affect the rankings: - Authority of the website (it may happen that your competitor is into this business since long and website may be old as compare to yours) - Onsite optimization (as you said there is only one page, i am not sure how affective the same but you should keep your website clean and try to keep 6-8% keyword density) Of course links !! keep working to generate only quality links (dont go for spammy and not relevant links). As you told that you are doing proper SEO. Still I will suggest you that get any Seo expert evaluate you on-page optimization for your keyword. and then build links from related sites and with proper anchor text. within month, you can beat him.
I would only suggest you to concentrate more towards your SEO efforts and Link Building process. You could definitely be on top of that website if you follow good and genuine SEO practice.
