Is it safe to get a link from a person that has 5 different websites that are all linked to each other and they are all on 1 ip. Can Google Ban you for getting a link like this?
Google not give preference from same IP. Why not you take one link only now and then after few months second link.
No lol, I think you miss-understood me, the guy that I want the link from has 5 websites that are all linked to each other. I want him to link me using one of his sites. Is that safe? Is there a chance of me getting ban or something?
as i can understand you want make links like text link are connected with every page or site i think its safe just continue
Getting one link from a site will never get you banned. The link may be ignored by Google, but they won't ban or penalize you for it.
Well, you can use your own logic or you can trust me. 1 or 1,000 links to your site as far as G concerned doesn't matter because you simply cannot control why, where from links are coming to your site. If that was matter for G., your competition would kill you long time ago. fastreplies
They can't tell whether you are paying for links. What they can tell is if the link is coming from a site that obviously sell links. If it is than they ignore the link. "bad neighborhood links" really applies more to sites you link to. As stated by FastReplies, you can't control who links to you. bad Neighborhoods include obvious spam sites, porn, drug sales (ie viagra), anything you really wouldn't want to be associated with, don't link to them, that can get you penalized or possibly even baned.
From getting links, no banning. Next comes a far more debated subject.... It would appear that getting too many links too quickly, especially on a newer site, can send up a red flag at Google and they start discounting more of your links (therefore they do not help your site). What constitutes too many is the subject for debate
Much depends on the site but probably not. However look at it from Googles point of view. Is the site so new or of little value that 10 PR 5 links seems out of the question and obviously bought? If so, than it might be too much. 10 new PR5 links to a big site like facebook ect. is nothing and not at all out of the question. 10 new PR 5 links to a spammy, new, 1 page affiliate marketing site is an obvious hint that they are buying links. Your site is somewhere in the middle, so you can only guess at what google would feel is obvious enough that they would decide to ignore the links.
What if the domain is over 5 years old and it wasn't a website for 4 1/2 year... Godaddy park page. Then you get 10 PR5 links in 1 month. Does the same rules apply as a new domain?
think another way. If links from 5 sites in one IP will harm your site, so do you think it's way to much easy to take down your competitor
