Strange ranking issue

I am ranked 3rd on google.co.uk for a term and that page is ranked on 3rd and 4th page on other googles like google.com or google.ca

Why would this happen ?

My site is not from uk (its a .com) nor are the servers located in the uk.

The ranking of your site depend upon the data center where your web site is stored. site never ranked same on all search engine. your website ranking also depend upon local server where your site is hosted.

 

Maybe a lot of backlinks of your sites are mainly from UK sites.

 

Check your backlinks... are most of them from UK sites?

 

Your ranking is based on your local host. Is is most possible that your site is hosted in the uk based server.

The reason behind this phenomenon would be Google rank your sites according to the back links and your on page optimization factors. In this case, your main backlinking sources would be from UK.

Its depends on backlinks you can get are from which country for which IP or proxy did you use for seo.

 

Its not a strange issue as I think. Most of the time this happen if your sites majority of vistiors came from any particular country or backlink from any particular country's sites.

 

Its the other way round. I am getting visitors from a particular country because the site is ranked higher for that country (.co.uk).

I have done no linking no promotion or anything for that page.

Still confused.

I am puzzled too. My main blogsite is ranked in the 1st page for a strong keyword in Google Malta, and I didnt even know such Google existed. LOL

 

may be the term you used for keywords is mostly searched from google.co.uk.That's why your site is ranked high on google uk and not on google.com and google for other regions

try to get the backlink from .com domains more.. instead of uk related sites..

 

nooo. i will try to get links from .me and .in domains only.

 

I think I have the same situation with several sites I promote. They are all brick businesses with old domains, all of them are local tourist services in the same town and attempting to rank for the same keywords. They all reside in the top half of google page 1 outside of the US, exactly as they should given the amount of seo linking done for them. Inside the US however, only one of them is one page 1 and the rest are on pages 2 and 3.

 

It's random. Some of my websites rank what... 1st page in AU, second page in the US, 1st page in the UK, 3rd page in other places of the world. Backlinks for all my sites are good quality, no region specific backlinks are used (lest they be high authority =p).
