How can I covert joomla site to wordpress. I need to do this with this site >> homewithequity.com because for some reason joomla does not have good SEO friendly url plugins. Thanks

You can't convert Joomla to Wordpress. What you need to do is take the PSD's or graphics from the Joomla site and have a Wordpress theme built using them.

Your best bet is to copy the content and images and like the previous poster said have a new them built, or better yet go with an existing Real Estate theme. Studiopress has a great wordpress theme called Agentpress. I have used it for a couple of real estate sites and it has some nice IDX/MLS features and very seo friendly. I would post a link but I am still a newbie to this forum. Just search Agentpress from Studiopress

you need to configure your joomla site to make it SEO friendly with meaningful URLs. But it's you choice, you may use IDX plugins with joomla as well. Do you have Joomla 1.5 or previous version Joomla 1.x? If you'll have unique content, articles, property listings, etc, you'll not even notice big issues even with weird URLs (content relevant search will bring you visitors)

read joomla documentation specific to your version of Joomla, host/php and .htaccess file modifications. goDaddy is one of the most convenient for this purpose of turning on SEO friendly URLs, I remeber also webhostingpad or something like this was also good for conversion.
