Welcome Holographics, I'm glad you enjoyed this thread

Now, regarding the names you mentioned

3DTelly.net - This is a name I just let expire. I owned it for about 2/3 years I think. Unfortunately with this name, the word "Telly" only really seems to be used in the UK, and I did speak to a few people about the name and most were not interested because firstly, the word "Telly" is really a slang word for "Television", so people don't think its really appropriate for a serious business site and secondly, its a .NET and they would prefer the .CO.UK (registered in 2007)

Holographics.eu - Its obviously a decent keyword if holograms to take off,m but the .eu really kills thus name, its not the strongest extension, especially with developing technology. Hologram.eu & Holograms.eu would be much nicer as well

3DOled.info - I have owned quite a few "OLED" names in the past and really struggled with them. These names always look awkward to me due to the 2 different technologies in the same domain (3D and OLED)..I don't think it works, the same would apply to 3DHDTV.com (3D & HD) - The .INFO extension doesn't help the name.

My suggestion would be to stick to the stronger european extensions like .DE, .ES, .NL, .FR, .CO.UK etc

    Good luck in the future

got to agree with giles here i have a good list of .infos although i did sell one for $400 after owning it only 10 days i am not seeing much interest there right now mostly just now people are stalking the .coms once we have a good spate of .com sales out the way hopefully we will see a turn around for .nets,.orgs,.infos etc i have 3dlcdtv.info the .com sold not long back but as yet no interest in the .info
I have some .coms where the .net has been purchased and made into a decent website so time will tell.
.co.uk domains were for a time left out there i picked up a few so if you want some like PORN-3D.CO.UK or television-3d.co.uk send me a pm as i am looking to shift them and concentrate on others that i want to develop.

Which ones are you talking about cobraghostship, most of the sales are posted on here or the other 3D forums. If not, I guess you can check namebio and dnjournal

    A few recent ones

    3DPDF.com sold for €1,113.00

    3D360.com just sold for $5000

    Buy3DLaptop.com and Buy3DPC.com sold for $1000 each

A lot of the sales quoted on the 3D forums around the place are listed on namebio and some on dnjournal

I cant comment on the one mentioned above though

Maybe the buyer asked that the domain/price be kept private. Or maybe the seller doesn't want to unnecessarily push prices up while they are still buying/negotiating on similar domains.

Anyway, I just sold one of mine for $1000 and the buyer didn't mention anything about not revealing the domain. So... '3D Gaming PC dot com'.
(I still own 3dGamingPCs.com which I personally like more)

    Cheers
    James

    it was sold through sedo.som
an offer was made of $100 i countered with $400 and it was accepted it was not an auction therefore wont be listed
PORN .. 3D INFO check the history
if a domainer knoiws he undersold something then he might be unwilling to announce the name as it may affect his other domains hence that why up to now i have not released the name

Explain how you can get $1000 for that name(only 54 exact searches) and I cant even get $14 for 3dgamingsystems.com.

you are just listing at dp by the looks of it and running a mfa site from it others do research into a name and approach people who might be interested sometimes you have to do the groundwork to get that sale
cobraghostship use this to get a list of some of the sales

    hey there cobrahostship

... as the others have mentioned, some names WILL be reported and some names won't.
there are lso places like GDA that seems to never report ANYthing (why is that?)

anyway... you can try and follow this link here for some of the more reported sales:

    http://www.domaintools.com/domain-sales-history/?q=3d

    Nice Job James
.. happy to see you on the board with a nice sale!!!
best of luck to you with the other :)

    - - - - -

    @G-Designs
... you have a very randomly placed hyphen in there that i can't say i am crazy about.. i'm sure many others will share that thought process.
... aesthetically speaking (as well as SEO purposes)... you might want to consider 3d-Phone-Reviews
... it just looks and reads better

... a site like that may need to be built out a bit anyway, so in the end, you'll be selling SERPS

    good luck :)

    - - - - - - -

    All other extensions:

    KILLING ME
this is obviously a long term game we're all playing here...
... the other extensions will need the dot coms to fall out before they get their day
.. try and hold on as long as you can... will get discouraging... but i still believe the value in these names are tied up in the wait.

    @Adam
.. yes.. i started this thread almost a year ago
.. i can not believe how ULTRA BIG this thread got.... never in a million years would i have thought it possible
    ... over 2,600 posts in a year - WOW!!

... very excited about Year II :)

    - - - - -

    Happy New Year Everybody!!
I wish you ALL the best with your names, your sales, your development and all your future names.

you cant expect every auction site to sell every name but their sales could be reported back to dnjournal just like sedos are because they dont sell every name is not a reason for them not being reported lol
oh and it all depends what names you have is whether you sell or not rather than your remark of hitting a jackpot or a 1/1000 chance good names sell bad ones dont simple math
plenty of sales daily on sedo every day and gda also
