Ok guys, to start with the beginning. I started a thread here (it states clearly it is a "best design wins" thread.) Then i receive a message from stardesign with a logo design. He designs a logo, and sends it to me. I was away on holidays, and when i get back he threatens me, and leaves negative itrader for not buying the design, and "backing up from the deal" even though it was a contest. I also posted in his thread before, with logo design, but i am not obliged to buy his design if i do not like it, right ? After that, i tell him it is a contest in my thread, and he says he'll report to the admins. Well, just go ahead, leaving negative itrader for no reason is against the rules. So, what do you guys think??? PS: I also left negative itrader saying he gives bad reputation to honest people, and to reputable old members. I accept a warning for that, but i got really mad for what he has done. I do not think anyone can say here i scammed him or backed out of a transaction. Not now, not ever. I`ll really appreciate honest opinions on this. Thanks guys. PSS: All messages are logged, screenshot'ed and archived, for further reference. Also, you can check VisualPath.net so you can see i did not even use his logo.
This sort of thread usually gets a better response in Suggestions and Feedback. If you want my opinion as someone who has designed for many contests, you said you wanted it "urgently", and to disappear away on holiday is a bit much... and if you do take this to suggestions & feedback you'll probably be told that you both did wrong for both iTraders and nothing will happen.
Yeah, i know i did wrong maybe a little, but i needed it urgent, but did not expect to get so many entries so fast. Anyway, just wanted some opinions on that. I hate it when people come on this forum and think they are gods or something. I need it urgent but i don`t buy what i don`t like. You want the best service you can get for your money right ?
You have to see it from the designers' perspective. They enter many contests, usually taking an hour per entry or so.. it's a big waste of time if people just change their mind
Don't get offense .. This just my opinion.. We just heard one side story from you, we unable judge the situation based by 1 side story. Maybe the situation is different however if the story just like you mentioned, than just ignore him. Some people hard to understand. Cheer up.. Don't ruin your day for him..
Well, i invited him here too, to state his opinion. I don`t know, as Hecky said, we probably both did something wrong. @Examike: i am a web designer too, and i know how it is and how you feel when your work is not chosen to be the winner, but that is not a good reason to add negative itrader just because you lost.This way you show, you don`t know how to lose. That's just my opinion..
The I-trader system is such. I-trader means I-trader. You trade/deal with someone. You express what you feel about the deal. He expresses what he feels about the deal. C'est simple!
That's not quite true, because if a contest goes down that doesn't give every entrant the right to give him a negative itrader, else they'd get like 20+
@Hecky that's what i am thinking. Eh well, that's life. I got myself a nice negative iTrader as a christmas present.. LoL. Gave a nice one back. Not the smartest thing i did, but i got mad.
