How to optimize your new blog?

Hi everyone,
I've got a blog at: http://make-a-perfect-site.blogspot.com and I want traffic from search engines.
My blog was started in July 2010, but I only started posting in November.
Could you give some tips?

If you wants to traffic from search engines, you need lots of backlinks. Join forums, comment on other blogs, write as a author. I hope you will get enough backlinks to get traffic from search engines.

First find great keywords and search for the amount of traffic it gets....

 

There is something fundamentally wrong with someone having a blog about making money online and then coming here looking for help to drive traffic.

 

There are thousands of ways you could increase traffic, but the basic ones are:

- Make sure to link to other websites relevant to your blog's topic.
- Comment on other related blogs and make sure to put your blog's URL in the URL box. Of course, these comments need to be authentic and show you're actually interested in the blog post--writing "Good job!" or "This is a good post" isn't going to drive more traffic.
- Update your blog everyday to keep it fresh. Your visitors are more likely to revisit blogs that update frequently.
- Publish in the morning--one study showed that people are more likely to visit blogs during the morning.
- Do not buy backlinks, let people naturally link back to you. You can do this by linking to their blog (they may reciprocate), leaving comments on their blog or just by writing GOOD content.
- Oh yeah--good content reigns supreme. Make sure your content is unique, informative, and isn't so bogged down with SEO that it's impossible to read.

Well, bookmark your posts, submit your blog to web directories, join forums, comment on other blogs especially the blogs that have a high PR and do follow blogs as well, use your blog as your profile link and write good posts consistently. Take a look also at the design of your blog. It must be SEO friendly as well as refreshing to the eyes of the reader.

So in order to optimize your blog well, take a look first on your site and its content(internal) and consistently optimize it through different avenues(forums,bookmarks, social media, tweets, signatures, web directories, web 2.0,blog comments etc.). It is also a need that you must be mindful of the PR and do follow qualities of the avenues that you are using. Don't just target quantity but above all quality.
