    Hi,
I wan to know where should i place my website links on do-follow blogs, directories and forums etc or no-follow blogs n directories and forums etc?
If in do-follow then why there why not on no-follow?
Cant we get traffic from no-follow websites?
    Is do-follow is necessary?

Links with the rel="nofollow" tag are only supposed to be on areas that do not moderate links. So, Google will not pass link equity through the link. That is why you should target regular links only.

It is more related to your page rank and number of links that point to your website.

Do-follow links count as links to your website (in the eyes of search engines), while both do- and no-follow can generate traffic to your website.

Basically with seo you cover the waterfront in an educated and thorough manner
Then its a matter of reverse engineering and testing what works and has worked
Do-follow links are generally a lot more useful to you , than no follow
No follow are not supposed to count with Google at all - yet many people beg to differ
    Simple as that

nofollow won't help your SERP much since the bots won't follow the external link.

    nofollow won't help your SERP???

    You mean PR?
No-follow tells crawler to ignore site where it points thus not count it as a link.

If I can give you a hint, nofollow links might be worth more than a dofollow link.

Basic webmasters don't care about nofollow or dofollow, but they have basic sites too. Advanced webmasters do care about it, they use nofollow to give less weight to the outgoing links -- but their sites are mostly developed and with a lot of traffic.

Now, what makes you earn money? A dofollow link, from a source with mainly no traffic or a nofollow link, from a source with tons of traffic? Do the count! ;)

A normal link is always dofollow, Google invented the nofollow tag because people started using links in a wrong way (spamming). You can read some stuff about it here too: http://www.charleslau.com/blog/why-is-nofollow-invented-for-googles-eyes/

So, you're saying that there is no such a thing like "do-fellow' and
    G. never ever says anything about "do-follow". Am I correct?

Than why are you using something that doesn't exist?

    G. does that to lesser crawlers work but it never said it won't count links.
So, link is a link is a link the only difference no-follow restricts bot from
visiting linked site and that's all

    :)

You can get traffic from no-follow but the backlinks from do-follow are the only ones that will help bosst your pagerank at count as a backlink to your site.

Show me me where it says you can't?

OK, now I will ask you

Show me one HTML Code that has do-follow tag in it?

I would only go after a nofollow link if the traffic is perfectly targeted or a high visibility vertical niche.

I totally agree with this one since I have tried it and it works with me too. Most no follow links is giving me traffic so its not really useless for me.

Where do I say that dofollow doesn't exist? Dofollow exists, but that's a normal standard and shouldn't be "declared". A normal link has the value of a dofollow link unless it's changed. We do speak from nofollow and dofollow so it is clear to people what type of link we're talking about.

Like I said, dofollow exists. It's just a standard value, Google sees those links as normal links, unless something else about the link is posted.

LoL. To lesser crawlers? And Google never said it wouldn't count links.. start reading some Google stuff mate! ;)
    Source: http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=96569

    And yep.

Man. Although this reply isn't towards me. Kwyson clearly says the following:
So yes you can get backlinks from nofollow links, but Google doesn't give weight to them, doesn't follow them nor transfers pagerank from them.

And like I already said right above you, dofollow is the standard -- it's nofollow that you should specify.

Do you really want to get into a never-ending discussion, while all answers are on Google itself?

You mean clear to morons who never in their lives open HTML Code?
Only fucking idiots who have no idea what they are talking about using
"do-follow" because they are too stupid not to use it at all.

There is only "no-follow" tag and nothing else. Period

I had ask you simple question:
can you show me one single example of HTML Code that has tag=do-follow
and until you do that, you have nothing to say and I have no desire
to be around your verbal puke.

You either troll or too stupid to understand basic principals of HTML coding.
Go to W3C school, learn something and then come back to talk to people
who forgot what you just getting to know 10 - 20 years ago.
