How much traffic do you get from directories?

How many pageviews do you get from directories?
Could you share your experience!

Very little to no traffic. Most directories are useless nowdays. Probably get a little link juice from some high-profile directories but that's about it.

 

Yes nowadays directories are only useful in SEO.

 

Almost none, the only reason I have tried to get into directories is because of SEO. 99% of my traffic comes from direct links from other sites and google.

 

Well, according to Alexa, AMRAY have less than 3% of traffic from Search Engines
which is explained by 23,000 backlinks we have to our directory, which in simple words
means if G. remove us from it's index, we won't even notice that.

Very little traffic, in the start, depending which directory you will get a little traffic, but i dont think that relevant.

 

Get more traffic from back links to be honest!

I usually only put my sites in niche directories and I get a little(very little) traffic like once every week or 2 I will get someone from a directory.

 

it depends on the business directory that you are submitting. I used to submit my sites to thousands of directories just for google to find more links point to my site to get higher visibility ...

Gee, you guys must not be submitting to very good directories. My directory has sent one site alone over 11,000 hits and at least 10 others over 2,700 hits!!! Granted some other sites haven't seen as much traffic but who am I to contradict such wisdom as has been displayed in this thread?

 

Not much, most of it comes from search engines or direct traffic.

 

I don't remember ever receiving any hits from directories
I'm only listed in about 70 directories though, and I only listed myself there to benefit a little from the backlinks they offer
So don't rely too much on them..

 

All the traffic comes to search engines social bookmarking sites that is very useful.

 

In fact, directories are good for building backlinks only, don't expect much traffic from'em.

myself I got Zero hits from directories but instead I got a PR2 domain. That's my point.
